Where is poetry?

As a poet, you sometimes find yourself in a receiving position for the poetry that’s coming to you, and sometimes you don’t receive anything at all. Those are the discouraging times, when you can’t get the signal. Some poets say that you have to put yourself in the position to receive your signals and messages from the world around you. Some say you have to digest what you receive and mull over your raw materials and periodic signals to flesh them out into meaningful poetry.
